Terms of service
This is the plain-language version we operate by while ClipForge is in beta. A full counsel-reviewed version will replace it before public launch. Questions? Email support.
Your content, your responsibility
You are responsible for having the rights to any source content you bring into ClipForge. We process what you point us at; we do not check licenses for you. If a rights holder files a valid takedown, we act on it. See the DMCA takedown process.
Credits and money
One credit renders one clip, and it is only spent when you approve that render. Scraping, downloading, and caption rewriting are free. Credits never expire. If a render fails on our side after you were charged, the credit comes back automatically. Completed renders are not refundable.
How long we keep your files
Source videos are stored for 90 days. Rendered clips are stored for 30 days from the last time you access them, so an active clip stays available. Download anything you want to keep long term.
Fair use of the platform
We can suspend accounts that abuse the platform: automated scraping of our service, attempts to bypass limits or billing, or repeated copyright strikes. If your account is closed for abuse, unused credits from the affected activity are not refunded.
The beta deal
During the beta the service is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it up, but we do not guarantee uptime, and our liability is limited to what you paid us. We may change features while in beta; anything that touches your money or your stored content gets announced first.
